Restorative
Group Conferencing:
·
Seeks to identify, repair and prevent harm
· Focuses
on empowering all of the participants
· Is based on restorative justice values and meaningful accountability
· Is
facilitated by a person specifically trained in this form of conflict resolution
· Can be used as a diversion
from court to provide accountability in school or community settings
·
Can be used after court or after suspension
to establish how offender will make amends and go on
· Involves a face-to-face dialogue between those harmed and affected and
those causing the harm
Scholarships:
DRC, CMMRJ, and CMS support
the efforts of people from diverse backgrounds who want to obtain conflict-resolution skills in order to meet the needs of
under-served parts of our community. Those wishing to apply for a full or partial scholarship should include
a one-page description of their background and goals along with the registration form.
